From classrooms to conventions to clubs, I've been able to take advantage of many opportunities where I have developed leadership skills. I've applied a "servant leader" attitude to various facets of my life, and it's paid off very well! I hope to carry this mindset with me throughout my academic, extracurricular, and professional careers.
MSPA Fall High School Convention: October 25, 2018
The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS, where this convention was hosted, is about two hours from Gautier High School. This field trip allows the yearbook staff to mingle with other young journalists while also forming memories amongst themselves.

JEA Partner Project:
August 22-24, 2019
My advisor worked to bring three journalism teachers to Gautier High as part of the Partner Project, a series of workshops that focuses on every facet of journalism from photography and design to interviews and ethics. 30 students, besides myself, were participants in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
In addition to this educational experience, we did ice-breakers and group assignments to get to know one another.
